    Workplace Investigations – Top Ten Mistakes Employers Make Investigating Harassment Complaints

    Conducting harassment investigations can be tricky. Done right and they can help you identify and address workplace harassment. Done wrong and you can end up in legal hot water.

    This session will outline the most common mistakes to avoid when conducting workplace investigations. It will also explore the Ministry of Labour’s Code of Practice to Address Workplace Harassment.

    Participants will learn:

    • what is procedural fairness and how to provide it
    • common mistakes made by employers in their harassment procedures
    • understanding the psychological dynamics of harassment
    • documenting the investigation
    • applying a trauma informed approach

    This session will include time for Q&A.
