SUMMARY:Special Event at Six Nations Polytechnic (SNP) in Partnership with Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie
DESCRIPTION:This speaker series will attempt to redefine what it means to create an inclusive workplace—where every person\, from every background\, identity\, and lived experience\, is not only welcomed but valued. From white men to Indigenous women\, from neurodiverse employees to veterans\, from different faiths and philosophies to people of all sizes\, ages\, genders\, and abilities—this series recognizes that real inclusion doesn’t exclude anyone. \nTitle:\nAll Ages\, All Voices: Unlocking the Power of Generational Inclusion   \nDescription:\nAs the workplace changes\, inclusion means more than checking boxes—it means creating a culture where every voice matters\, regardless of age or background. Too often\, age is overlooked as a diversity factor\, leading to missed opportunities and disengagement. This interactive session explores how to move beyond stereotypes and assumptions to leverage the strengths of every generation. Together\, we’ll look at how age-inclusive practices build psychological safety\, strengthen collaboration\, and enhance organizational resilience. Participants will walk away with deeper empathy\, practical strategies for harnessing generational assets\, and renewed confidence in their ability to create workplaces where everyone belongs and contributes fully \nNicki Straza is a workplace culture specialist with a unique lens of generational diversity. She is also a speaker\, and Certified Flourishing Trainer & Coach with over 25 years of leadership and organizational development experience across non-profit\, corporate\, and small business sectors. As the founder of Straza Solutions\, she partners with organizations to create inclusive\, trust-based workplaces where people can thrive both individually and collectively. \nWhy This Series Matters:\nToo often\, workplace inclusion initiatives unintentionally leave some groups out of the conversation. “All Means All” is a bold\, compassionate\, and forward-thinking series designed to bring everyone in. It acknowledges the complexity of identity and the intersectionality of human experience\, while encouraging empathy\, curiosity\, and mutual respect across all groups. \nAn outcome we are hoping for here is that participants walk away with deeper empathy\, broader perspectives\, and actionable strategies for building teams where everyone—from the most seen to the most invisible—feels like they belong. \n$30 Fee (for members of BHRN and non-members).  Cash at the door or e-transfer accepted at branthrnetwork@outlook.com\n\n\n\n\n\nSix Nations Polytechnic in the Athletic Building (westerly building)\n2nd floor lounge\n411 Elgin St\, Brantford\, ON N3S 7P5\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n  \n11:30 – 12:00 Registration \n12:00 –  12:30 Lunch (Catered by CA Culinary) \n12:30 – 1:20  Guest speaker and Q and A \n1:20 – 1:30  Conclusion and thank yous! \n

Let’s bridge the gap between those uncomfortable conversations and practical solutions\, so we can prioritize wellbeing\, and set the stage for a workplace where everyone can thrive. \nKey Takeaways: \n Identify Everyday Stress: Recognize signs of everyday stress and anxiety\, and learn preventive strategies for a mentally healthy workplace. \n Break Through Bravery Barriers: Understand and overcome the five big bravery barriers—to create a culture that promotes authenticity and well-being. \n Master Brave Conversations: Develop practical strategies and confidence for engaging in brave conversations about mental wellness. Advocate effectively for the needs of yourself and your team. \nThursday\, February 15\, 2024 – 11:30 am – 1:30 pm \nBest Western Hotel & Conference Centre (19 Holiday Drive\, Brantford\, ON) \n11:30 am – 11:45 am  Registration & Networking \n11:45 am – 12:15 pm  Lunch \n12:15 pm – 1:30 pm  Presentation \nRegister on-line at bhrn.ca    $30 for members and $50 for future members
